POLOKWANE – Three people died and several were injured after a truck and a taxi crashed on the N1 road North of Polokwane at arounf 21:15 on Saturday evening.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find patients still trapped inside of the wreckage… the jaws of life were used according to statement on Honnetsweng EMS Facebook Page.
The statement read as follows: “Paramedics treated and stabilised the patients on the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further medical care.”
“It is alleged the taxi was attempting to over take when it crashed head on with the oncoming truck.”
The exact cause of the accident will form part of a police investigation.
