Son finds father’s body on kitchen floor
The Police in Thabazimbi have launched a massive manhunt for the unknown suspects who responsible for the attack on a 54-year-old farmer at Spitskop, a small holding outside of Thabazimbi yesterday (Friday).
LIMPOPO – According to a statement issued by Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, it is alleged that the deceased’s son found his father’s body in the kitchen lying on the floor at around 14:00.
“The victim’s body was found in the kitchen lying on the floor… several gunshot wounds were found throughout the body,” said Ngoepe.
Ngoepe added, “Spent Cartridges were also found at the scene and the vehicle belonging to the deceased, a Ford Ranger, was found abondoned a few kilometers from the crime scenee.
“At this stage it is not yet know what was stolen from the house pending finalisation of crime scene investigations.”
The deceased is identified as Bertie Villiers said Ngoepe.
There is no arrest and police investigations continue.
