Panga attack victim still in hospital
A 48-year-old man was attacked attacked by three men armed with pangas
POLOKWANE – A 48-year-old man is currently being treated for several minor injuries at a local hospital after being attacked on his small holding outside the city this morning.
Polokwane Police Spokesperson, WO Lesiba Ramoshaba, told Review the man was working on his small holding when three men armed with pangas entered his house and attacked him. They robbed him of his wallet and cellphone.
He sustained several injuries during the attack.
“The man managed to report the matter to the local Community Policing Forum (CPF) and they alerted the police patrolling in the area. With the help of members of the community, one of the attackers has been arrested,” Ramoshaba said.
He said police investigations are ongoing and the man will appear in court soon. He added the police are hot on the trail of the remaining two suspects.
