POLOKWANE – The school hosted their graduation ceremony and Christmas play at Balantino’s in Penina Park.
La Petite is located in Westenburg and was opened in 2015 and this was the school’s first graduation ceremony since its inception.
Principal Rachel Jacobs addressed the parents saying: “When you educate a child, seeing them progress and grow is a wonderful feeling. Our aim is to prepare them for school and today they will get certificates to mark that milestone”.
All the children graduating were aged four and on their way to Gr R next year.
The children also had the opportunity to put on a show for their loved ones.
Mary Joe Maruping, one of the proud mothers, said: “I was happy to see my son graduate. The fact that he will be going to school next year makes me extremely proud. It was an emotional moment for me”.
Rachel said she hopes the school will grow from strength to strength.
