POLOKWANE – The public are hereby notified of planned road closures in the city due to the official opening of the High Court this week.
According to statement issued by Municipal Spokesperson, Matshidiso Mothapo, the corner of Bodenstein and Biccard Streets and Biccard and Rabe Streets have been temporarily closed since yesterday (Sunday 27 November) for security reasons and to allow preparations for the opening of the High Court on Tuesday 29 November.
“The High Court will be opened by the State President Jacob Zuma tomorrow (Tuesday) morning.”
“Tomorrow (Tuesday 29 November), Rabe and Biccard, Bodenstein and Hans Van Rensburg, Bodenstein and Voortrekker Streets will be closed from 06:00 until the end of the event.”
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period and to follow directional signs and instruction from traffic officers. Access will be given to businesses and tenants operating on the identified streets, adds Mothapo.
The municipality apologises for any inconvenience that may arise out of this arrangement.
