MOKOPANE – A 28-year-old man was sentenced to a life behind bars for statutory rape on Wednesday (23 November) in the Mokerong Magistrate’s Court.
According to Mawhelereng Police Spokesperson, Constable Sello Lesso: “Clemment Madimetja Nkgoeng was arrested and charged in January 2014 after raping a minor in Sekuruwe Village in Mapela.”
Lesso says he welcomes the sentence and hope that it will serve as a warning to other perpetrators that justice will be served.
