Ronnel Homu, Miss Polokwane Observer Cover Girl 2016 and Motswedi Pambo, Miss Polokwane Observer Cover Girl Junior, visited Ga-Maboi Drop-in Centre in Mankweng on Friday.
They delivered canned food collected as part of the recent pageant to the centre.
Ronnel said she enjoyed meeting the children and seeing the smiles on their faces when they realised that their visitors were there to help them.
She added that to her, knowing that they could provide a couple of meals for the children, meant the world.
She remarked that if one is born with the ability to change someone else’s life, one should never waste it. “Make use of every opportunity to put a smile on someone’s face,” she said.
