POLOKWANE – The fraud, forgery case against 19-year-old Maria Lebo Mokgobu, who was arrested after posing as a cardiologist, has been postponed to early next year.
Mokgobu who was arrested by the Hawks at the Department of Health offices on 8 June after she attended interviews for the position of cardiologist appeared before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court earlier today (Thursday).
According to a statement issued by Hawks Spokesperson, Capt Matimba Maluleke, Mokgobu will reappear on 23 Febraury 2017.
She faces charges of fraud, forgery, and altering medical qualifications for the purpose of gaining employment.
She is currently out on R5 000 bail.
