Body found: woman’s husband in SAPS custody
The husband of the 40-year-old woman who was reported missing over the weekend has been taken into police custody following the discovery of her body this afternoon (Monday).
LIMPOPO – According to a statement issued by Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, it is alleged Constance Julia Maluleke was last seen in the company of her husband at the weekend. She was later reported missing at a local police station. A joint search party consisting of various police units and local community members discovered her body in a bush outside the village this afternoon (Monday).
“There were no visible injuries on the deceased’s body because she was in a state of decomposition but a post mortem will be conducted,” Ngoepe said.
“The 35-year-old husband of the deceased was arrested for further investigation,” Ngoepe concludes.
The motive behind her death is still unknown but domestic violence cannot be ruled out. Police investigations continue.
