Farmer shoots and kills attacker
Police are searching for four armed suspects who attacked a farmer and his family at Tooits kraal farm outside Marble-Hall last night (Tuesday).
LIMPOPO – In a statement issued by Police Spokesperson, LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, it is alleged the six men entered the farmer’s home, tied him and his wife up with rope and robbed him of a .38 special firearm and several other items including firearms kept in the safe before attempting to flee the scene.
The assistance of the Heritage Protection Group (HPG) was called in and according to them the farmer managed to free himself with the help of his wife. ” When one of the robbers came back into the house the farmer shot him. The robber died on the scene,” read a statement by the HPG.
The HPG members and Lezmin Security followed the suspects tracks and found one of the suspects inured and arrested him.
Ngoepe further said that the vehicle used by the suspects were confiscated. Police launched a manhunt for the remaining four robbers.
