5 000 mourners pay their last respects

The memorial service in honour of the late first female Cosas president, Sandra Baloyi was held at Kgwekgwe High School sports grounds.

LIMPOPO -The service was delayed by almost three hours as service goers had to wait for a storm to pass.
The family spokesperson, Peter Ngobeni did not want to disclose Baloyi’s exact cause of death.
Baloyi died in her hostel room last  Sunday, after a short illness.
Nearly 5 000 mourners attended the service.
ANC Deputy Provincial Chairperson, Jerry Ndou described Baloyi as a fearless and articulate leader who did not let an impoverished background stand in the way of her development.
“She went on to lead Cosas in a diplomatic way. Her untimely death robbed Cosas, Limpopo and the country at large of a great leader whose future looked very exuberant,” Ndou told CV during the proceedings.
Former Limpopo Premier, Cassel Mathale described Baloyi as a visionary, and a leader who could think on her feet, a workaholic who believed that education liberates.
Mathale urged other young people, especially those still at school to take notes from Baloyi’s leadership to become tried and tested cadres of the movement and become better South Africans.
NEC member of the ANC, Pule Mabe said the party has lost a true leader in Baloyi and vowed to help the family live life to the fullest through a trust fund that would help Baloyi’s family and learners who pass well in matric.

Education MEC, Ishmael Kgetjepe, former ANC provincial chairman and former Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale and Depertment of Economic Development and Touriasm, MEC Seaparo Sekoati are walking away from Sandra’s Tombstone soon after it was unveiled.
