Braai masters take open-fire braai challenge

The first Induna Braai Challenge took place on Saturday at Thornhill Shopping centre.

POLOKWANE – The teams were ready from bright and early to take each other on amidst a shower of sparks and plumes of aromatic smoke.
The Induna Braai Challenge was initiated by Thornhill Shopping Centre as an open-fire braai challenge where teams of five could enter and test their braai skills. This initiative, sponsored by Thornhill Shopping Centre and occupying tenants, is aimed at encouraging brand awareness and also unity through the celebration of this popular shared-food culture in our city.
Each team received a mystery basket that they had to use to impress the judges. Local artist, Will Jordan, entertained the guests.
“The day was a huge success with Polokwane Multi Franchise being crowned as the winner and Team Majacan and Ookumkani – Plumblink in second and third place respectively. The event organizers hope to welcome more teams for next year’s 2017 Induna Braai Challenge,” says Jaco Terblanche from Brand Evolutionz.
