Westenburg Police need help to identify a woman whose body that was found among vegetation in the the Ivy Dale area along the N1 Tzaneen bypass yesterday (Thursday).
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said an inquest docket has been opened.
The woman is in her 60s and was clothed in traditional attire, pantyhose and black shoes. An old type ID book (dompas) belonging to a man was found in her bag,” Ngoepe said.
He added that tyre marks found on the scene have led the Police to suspect that the body might have been dumped.
“The cause of death is still unknown at and a post mortem will be conducted. Our investigations continue.”
