MOKOPANE – The community is advised to fill up their water bottles as there will be an interruption of water supply on Saturday 29 October from 07:00 to Sunday 30 October to 24:00.
According to the Mogalakwena Municipality the following areas will be affected: The Mokopane CBD, Central Mokopane, Extension 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 18 including all the low-cost housing extensions namely Extension 14, 17, 19 and 20.
“This water supply interruption is necessary to enable the municipality to clean the Mokopane reservoirs and to conduct much needed maintenance work. No guarantee can be given that the water will remain disconnected for the whole period and residents are therefore informed to consider all connections as Water Active. Consumers are advised to keep all water taps closed to avoid unnecessary disputes on bills,” read a notice by the Mogalakwena Municipality.
