Two Nigerian drug dealers arrested in city

The Limpopo Drug Unit together with the K9 Unit responded to a drug tip off that led to the arrest of two suspects in Polokwane today (Tuesday).

POLOKWANE – Two suspects aged 29 and 44 years old were arrested for possession of sachets of drugs-Nyaope with the scale of 13 grams to the estimated street value of R2 600 and one sachet of dagga. The police also confiscated R850 cash  during the operation.

According to LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe the arrested suspects will appear before the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Thursday on charges of drug possession. He said the police are still investigations are still continuing.

“The tip off was made through our crime Intelligence and this led to the arrest of two Nigerians. There are a lot of drug hot spots in our city but we will deal with them one-by-one,” said Ngoepe.

He further urged citizens to join forces with the police to eradicate crime in the province and build a crime free society. He added that citizens should just flood the police with information that will help them arrest the criminals and drug dealers.
