POLOKWANE – A Toyota Land Cruiser rolled on the corner of Dorp and Devenish Street after attempting to avoid a collision with a second vehicle on Monday morning.
According to information the traffic light on the corner was not operational at the time of the incident – the rules of the road state that is a traffic light is not working a motorist should consider the intersection as a 4-way stop.
According to an informed source on the scene the Land Cruiser swerved out of the way to miss a second vehicle which allegedly did not obey the above law, hitting a road sign, rolling and landing on its roof.
Four people, including two children, inside the cruiser escaped with minor injuries. Three of the occupants, a mother and the two children, were taken to the hospital for a check up said the source.
