Motorist discovers charred remains of woman, child

A small pink blanket was found next to the charred remains.

LIMPOPO – The burned bodies of a woman and a toddler were discovered this morning (Wednesday) by a motorist along the Wolkberg dirt road.

According to information, the motorist came across the charred bodies of a woman believed to have been in her twenties and a toddler, approximately two-years-old, lying side by side on the dirt road at Makgeng village. A small pink blanket was found next to the toddler’s remains and pieces of what appears to be from a blue tracksuit were found next to the woman.

The motive for the murders is unknown and the police urges anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the party(ies) responsible to contact Colonel Maloma at 082 565 8524 or the Mankweng Police at 015 2862000.
