LIMPOPO – The body of Hendrick Pieter Bonnema (60) was found a few meters from his house in a pool of blood by family members and the police.
According to police reports he left his house earlier that day to visit relatives in the area, upon his return at around 22:00 he was attacked and killed by unknown suspects, confirmed Provincial Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
According to preliminary investigations he was stabbed and robbed of cell phone and car keys.
The motive behind the murder is still unknown, but robbery cannot be ruled out.
No arrests have been made as yet and police investigations continue.
