Kaleidoscope of colourful fun helps needy kids

Residents from Mahwelereng and Mokopane participated in a colour run event recently

MOKOPANE – Colour and liveliness filled the air when residents from Mahwelereng and Mokopane participated in a colour run held as a fundraising project for Refilwe Drop-in Centre located in Masodi village on Saturday at the Mahwelereng Stadium.

After some delays, the race kicked off around 11:00 and everyone did their part to raise funds.

After the run, a fun-filled evening lay ahead with performances by local artists and a local choir along with dancing and partying with friends and family. More than 400 runners took part in the colour run and over 800 people joined the evening’s merriment.

“Everything we needed to make the event successful was sponsored. Nothing came from our own pockets”, said Portia Ramashala, one of the organisers.
