Cancer survivors pampered

Several cancer survivors got the chance to be thoroughly spoilt and pampered by fellow-survivor Louise Jansen recently.

POLOKWANE – Held at Bolivia Lodge, Louise had a table beautifully laid out where she and the fellow survivors and their caregivers shared a delicious meal on Saturday 8 October . Earlier in the morning, all the survivors had their hair done at either Cabellos Hair and Beauty Salon or House of Asantè Spa. They also had their nails done before arriving at Bolivia Lodge where they received gifts from Louise. Guests, upon arrival, were also treated to a photoshoot, with their caregivers, by local photographer, Madelein of Intemporel Photography, which was part of the day’s surprises..

“It is always nice to give back to others and share something special with them,” said Louise. She says that she likes to host an event every year for cancer survivors and is always blessed to have other people come on-board to make the events happen and to make them worthwhile.

Survivor, Anna Mamabolo, said she thoroughly enjoyed her pamper-session and, having her hair done as well, allowed her to relax for a while. “I love the way my nails have been done, they look so lovely,” she said.

Louise wished to thank all the sponsors who helped her make her pamper-day possible and she said she cannot wait for the next event.
