UPDATE: Medical doctor wanted in connection with murder of University student

The woman was last seen on Monday 3 October until her body was discovered in the doctor's home on Friday, says the police.

LIMPOPO – The Medical Doctor at Tshilidzini hospital outside Thohoyandou  wanted in connection with the murder of 25-year-old Refilwe Makoma Masinamela is still on the run said provincial police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

The Thohoyandou police is requesting anyone who knows of the whereabouts of Doctor Ndivhuwo Mudau from Luvhimbi Village to advise him to go to the nearest police station. “He may be able to assist us in the investigation”

‘LIMPOPO – Police have launched a manhunt for a medical doctor wanted in connection with the recent murder a 25-year-old female university student.

The murder suspect is a medical doctor at the Tshilidzini Hospital outside Thohoyandou and the deceased, Refilwe Makoma Masinamela, was a student at the University of Venda said provincial police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

“The body of the the deceased was found in the suspect’s residence within the Tshilidzini Hospital yard last night at around 19:00 last night. Her body has multiple stab wounds,” he added.

Preliminary reports revealed that the deceased who is originally from Mapaana village, Bolodebu  outside Tzaneen and the suspect were lovers.

The motive of the murder is still unknown but domestic violence has not been ruled out Ngoepe said.

Police investigations are still continuing and anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspect may contact Thohoyandou Police on 082 451 7217 or the nearest Police Station or crime stop number 0860010111.
