WATCH: NEHAWU march against corruption in Lim government

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union (NEHAWU) marched through the city on Friday during their ‘Anti-Corruption’ march.

They earlier threatened to march to the premier’s office and bring Polokwane to a standstill if their outstanding grievances are not met by the Limpopo Provincial Government. This comes after they met with provincial government to resolve some of their outstanding issues.

According to the provincial chairperson of NEHAWU Calvin Tshamano, the meeting yielded some favourable outcomes for the members, but they are still not satisfied with some of the concerns raised. “Today we will hand over a memorandum to the department of treasury as well as the premier’s office. We want that them to give in to our demands and also scrap that provincial personnel management framework policy. “We also call for the appointment of social auxiliary workers… many were promised jobs but are still sitting at home jobless,” Tshamano said.
