Son charged with killing mother (70)
The suspect attacked and killed his mother after an argument.
LIMPOPO – The police in Masemola outside Lebowakgomo have arrested a 50-year-old man for the murder of his mother, say the police.
According to police reports the suspect attacked and killed his mother after an argument at his parental home in Mohwelere Village early this morning (Saturday), said provincial police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
“He arrived at the house at around 03:00 and woke up his mother who was sleeping. A heated argument ensued during which he attacked her with a sharp instrument killing her instantly.”
The motive behind this killing is still unknown but domestic violence cannot be ruled out he added.
The man will appear before the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court on Monday on a charge of murder.
Police investigations are still continuing concluded Ngoepe.
