Col Mantjane back in seat

Col Leshoaneng Mantjane took over the reins on 8 September as the Station Commander at the Mokopane Police Station from Col Patrick Makhubele.

MOKOPANE – Mantjane was born and bred in Mahwelereng and in Mokopane he is a familiar face as he previously served as Station Commander in 2013 and 2014.

Col Mantjane boasts with a prestigious Curriculum Vitae and it is clear that he has a lot of experience.

He says it is great to be back and that he looks forward to working alongside the people that is already familiar to him.

“I believe that part of my appointment in Mokopane is due to the increase in crime of late especially armed robberies and theft out of motor vehicles. I plan to bring this to a stop. Residents should feel safe at all times.”

Mantjane further said that they have enough resources and employees and that police presence are already more visible in the crime hot spot areas. He appeals to the residents to report any suspicious behaviour and to be alert at all times.

“I encourage all residents, businesses and security companies to work with us in this ongoing fight against crime as no one can succeed alone,” Mantjane concluded.
