Satellite station torched, arrests expected soon

Police are investigating a case of arson and public violence following the destruction of a police satellite station in Modjadjiskloof near Tzaneen on Monday afternoon.

LIMPOPO – According to police reports the community members gathered outside the satellite station at around 17:00 yesterday seeking a discussion with the members on duty regrading the two murders which took place in the area over the weekend.

Police reinforcements has to be called in after the angry members started throwing stones at the station, overwhelming the officers on duty. By the time reinforcements arrived, the satellite structure had already gone up in flames.

Police are following several leads and arrests are expected soon.
