SAPS artisan out on R1000 bail

POLOKWANE – A police artisan arrested over the weekend in the city for possession of unlicensed firearm appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s court yesterday (Monday).

According to Provincial Hawks spokesperson, Capt Matimba Maluleke, the suspect was released on R1000 bail and is set to reappear before the court on 20 October.

The man was arrested in Ladanna following an intelligence driven joint operation led by Hawks Firearm Organised Crime Unit and SANEB members on Saturday, 10 September.

“The firearm along with thirteen rounds of ammunition was found in the his vehicle during the arrest.”

Investigations continue says Maluleke.
