LIMPOPO – A number of illegal items were found and confiscated during a recent search conducted at Seokgome High School outside Burgersfort, say the police.
According to police spokesperson, LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, the search was conducted as part of the School Safety Programme led by the Burgersfort Saps in joint partnership with the Community Police Forum, the Youth against crime and K9 Unit.
Classrooms were search and members confiscated a number of illegal items including dagga and suspected stolen cellphones added Ngoepe.
This type of operation will continue in schools situated in the crime infested areas, warns police.
Ngoepe has urged parents to ensure their children do not engage in criminal activities.
