Travellers to and from Polokwane can now make use of Citybug Shuttle Service with a specially allocated, well marked stop at Mall of the North.
On Friday Mall of the North officially welcomed the first group of arrivals which included passengers from as far as Bloemfontein and Zambia.
The official Citybug mascot, Bugzy helped them celebrate their first arrivals at Mall of the North by walking around in the mall, handing out sweets and pamphlets and posing with children of all ages.
Mari Delport, Marketing Manager at Mall of the North said mall management is very excited about the services that Citybug offers. “We want to encourage the public to make use of this service. The fact that the shuttles stop at the mall also makes departures and arrivals easier, especially for people who have to wait a while. With many restaurants to choose from, they can relax with something to eat and drink or they can take a walk through the mall and enjoy the wide variety of shopping experiences we offer,” she said.
Citybug shuttle routes include Pretoria, OR Tambo International Airport, Bloemfontein and Mbombela. The shuttle departs from Mall of the North at 09:00 on Mondays and Saturdays and arrives at 15:00 on Sundays and Fridays.
With clearly branded shuttle buses and trailers, corporate clothing and professionalism bar none, Citybug is easily spotted, especially in crowded places like international airports.
Depending on date of departure and availability, a single trip to OR Tambo International Airport from Polokwane will cost around R400 per person. Prices vary according to booking times and the number of seats booked.
