Kidnapping: Former Lim mayor’s sister found

Patience Matlou, who was allegedly kidnapped yesterday (Tuesda) in Mohlabaneng village outside Modjadjeskloof was found by a passerby today (Wednesday).

LIMPOPO – According to Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, a provincial police spokesperson, she had serious multiple injuries on her body and was taken to the nearest hospital for medical assistance.

“The woman alleged that she managed to jump out of the moving vehicle and managed to run away until she was found by the passerby some kilometers away from Bolobedu.”

This was her second attempt as the first was not successful, according to police reports.

A case of kidnapping was opened at Bolobedu police station and no arrests have been made yet. Police investigations are ongoing.

LIMPOPO – The Bolebedu police are looking for a young woman who was allegedly kidnapped from her home in Mohlabaneng village outside Modjadjieskloof at around 13:00 yesterday (Tuesday).

According to police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the young woman Patience Matlou,  the young sister of former Mopani District  Executive Mayor Mr Joshua Matlou, was allegedly taken with force by her ex-boyfriend who was last seen driving a Nissan Hardbody registration DTN 177L.

“It is further alleged that outside the village, she jumped out of the moving motor vehicle and tried to run away, but the suspect stopped and picked her up and threw her back to the car,” he added.

The motive behind this incident is still unknown but domestic violence has not been ruled out.

A case of kidnapping has been opened by family members said Ngoepe.
