The Association for Persons with Disability (APD) Limpopo is giving it their all in the last straight before Casual Day tomorrow (Friday).
Johnny Graham, Public Education and Awareness Fundraising Officer at APD said Casual Day is a fun way of raising funds for people with disabilities by wearing casual clothes to work or school or even dressing up to add spice to the day. To earn the right to dress up this way, participants make a donation of R10 for the official Casual Day sticker.
This year’s theme is ‘Up Your Game’ and encourages the public to put their hands deep into their pockets to support this worthy cause.
Able, the Casual Day mascot visited Mall of the North with APD personnel and volunteers on Saturday to raise awareness and to sell stickers and other Casual Day merchandise.
Their stall, positioned at Game Court in Mall of the North, received a great deal of interest, especially from the younger shoppers and their parents.
