Couple attacked with panga, robbed

The suspects are still at large and no arrest have been made.

LIMPOPO – A Zimbabwean couple was admitted to the Tshilidzini Hospital after they were assaulted with pangas and robbed of their belongings by three unknown suspects on Monday evening.

The Spokesperson for the Levubu Police, Capt Eliot Nemavhulani said the two, aged 30 and 26 were at their Tshakhuma home near Elim when three men armed with pangas emerged and demanded money.

“When the couple told the suspects that they don’t have money, they were severely assaulted.”

The men left with four cellphones and a music system.

“We have opened a case of house robbery. The suspects are still at large and no arrest have been made.

Nemavhulani further warned the community not to buy stolen goods. “Most of the goods sold on the streets without receipts, are stolen. We suspect that the three may sell those properties stolen from the Zimbabwean couple,” concluded Nemavhulani.
