MOKOPANE – A 29-year-old man was sentenced to 15 years behind bars in the Mokopane Regional Court last Friday for the murder of Thabo Johannes Mangoane on 27 April 2015.
According to Mokopane Police Spokesperson, Sgt Irene Masingi, Mangoane embraced a friend in a hug on the morning of 27 April, when Piet Madimetja Kolobe (29) stabbed him with a knife from behind. “Mangoane passed away on his way to the hospital,” said Masingi
The Acting Cluster Station Commander, Lt Col Sello Mogale, commended the good work done by the investigating officer, Warrant Officer Maborakane Seabela, in securing a conviction. “We hope this is a clear message to all perpetrators that crime does not pay,” said Mogale.
