New Mogalakwena mayor elected after elections

Andrina Matsemela will take over the reigns as Mayor of the Mogalakwena Municipality from Parks Sebatjane.

MOKOPANE – “I am grateful and I express my heartfelt thanks to the voters of the Mogalakwena Municipality for re-electing the ANC to lead the council. I am honored and humbled that you have placed your trust in the liberation movement.”

These are the words of Andrina Matsemela, who will take over the reigns as Mayor of the Mogalakwena Municipality from Parks Sebatjane.

The people of Mogalakwena have spoken through casting their votes on 3 August.

The majority of the votes were for the ANC in 30 of the 32 wards in Mogalakwena.

Matsemela said that with the voters trust they will work tirelessly to help address the challenges they face and to secure the lasting and meaningful improvements to the communities’ lives.

“We want to assure you that over the next five years, the ANC led government will continue to work with you in improving the quality of services that we offer. Through our Integrated Development Plan (IDP), we commit to provide services to the areas we have not yet reached.”

Matsemela thanks the ANC for having confidence in her through electing her as the Mayoral Candidate of the Mogalakwena Municipality.
