Young boy keen to care

Iyaaz Mayet of Thorntree Preparatory School has been selected as one of 10 child ambassadors in South Africa  for the International Fund for Animal Welfare

MOKOPANE – His motivation for the submission was that,”You don’t have to love animals to show them compassion. We have a duty and responsibility to other creatures on earth”.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) in South Africa has launched an initiative for primary school goers,to share their knowledge and speak on behalf of the animals, conveying the very important understanding of the link between animals and people.

The end result that the IFAW wishes to achieve is for children keen and passionate about domestic and wild animals to help motivate others to adopt pets to keep them from going to circuses where animals might be abused and to ensure their dogs get enough exercise, love and a warm place to sleep at night.
