A healthier career change for first-time mom

Elriëtte Kruger (31) is a sales representative for Forever Living

POLOKWANE – When Elriëtte a 31-year-old dedicated teacher, from Tzaneen fell pregnant, she decided to become a stay-at-home mom as she dreaded the idea of leaving Kara, now 14-months-old, at a nursery school.

While browsing the internet for home-based jobs, she discovered the Forever Living website where ‘professional moms’ are highly sought after. “The health and nutrition industry is booming and I saw the opportunity to build a successful, home-based business”. She soon became a sales representative for the company.

She plays ringball for Limpopo and competed in the SA Championships that took place in Pretoria recently. She says playing ringball keeps her fit. Elriëtte is conscious about what she eats and tries her best to live a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the products she sells fit into her lifestyle of good health and nutrition perfectly. “I gained 22 kg during my pregnancy and even though I was good for the first six months, but went on a chocolate cake frenzy during the last three months. It took me six months to lose the baby weight,” she explains.

The Forever Living products range covers skin and hair care, weight management with online support, and offers a range of nutritional supplements. There’s also a range for equine and canine care available.

One of Elriëtte’s favourite products is the Forever Aloe Vera gel, she drinks 60 ml daily. “It is bitter but flavoured with peaches. It gives boosts energy levels, provides vitamins, improves joint functionality and has a positive effect on gut flora,” she explains.

Forever Living was founded in the US in 1978 and is successfully traded in more than 150 countries.
