POLOKWANE – The police have launched a manhunt after murder accused Rameez Patel‘s 54-year-old father, Feroz Patel, was shot and killed by four unknown suspects today (Friday) in Platinum Street, Polokwane.

According to one of the family member who wished to remain anonymous the deceased had no money and he does not know why he was shot. “I am the one who always gives him money.
He had nothing on him today and I just don’t understand why they had to kill him,” he explained. Limpopo Police Spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto confirmed that a man was shot and killed.
She said the suspects chased the deceased until he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a brick wall. They then shot him and fled the scene with a bag they took from the deceased.
She said the motive for the shooting is not yet known, but investigations are underway. “According to information police received the man was being chased by two Volkswagen vehicles, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed. The deceased was shot and died on the scene. No arrests have been made yet but our officials are doing their best to bring the perpetrators to book,” explained Otto.
According to another source at the scene, the suspects fired a couple of shots at the deceased before he crashed into the brick wall.
