The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the province is expecting to draw a crowd of beyond the 45 000 capacity of the new Peter Mokaba Stadium when it hosts the national Tshela Thupa rally celebrating its third birthday at the end of the month.
EFF Provincial Leader Michael Mathebe gave the assurance that although they were still finalising numbers they would go beyond the figure. He said they expected supporters from all regions of the province as well as the rest of the country.
He referred to EFF Commander-in-Chief Julius Malema having arrived in Limpopo for meetings across the different regions of the province two weeks ago to touch base with communities ahead of the rally. He said the party leader would be finishing the programme with meetings in Polokwane, Seshego, Mankweng and Boyne scheduled for today (Thursday) until Saturday.
The programme for next Sunday’s rally would entail messages of support, also from other countries, and end with a keynote address to be delivered by Malema.
