Aiming to help the youth with Second Chance

Leon Du Preez is of several speakers who plan to help young people in Polokwane by giving motivational talks at schools

POLOKWANE – Having lived in darkness and bondage enslaved by substance and alcohol abuse from a young age, Leon du Preez found a way out of a very dark place and has committed himself to helping others, especially young people.

Du Preez is of several speakers who plan to help young people in Polokwane by giving motivational talks at schools.

His strong message is that anyone can change whatever holds them back from reaching their goals and accomplish what they are meant to accomplish.

Du Preez found Jesus Christ after a night in a drug house and experienced a radical transformation that would change the course and destiny of his life forever. Completely set free, he started to serve the community, and founded Encounter Ministries International.

He now ministers at numerous schools, leads conferences and is responsible for leadership groups and meetings. He is currently involved in an initiative called Second Chance, where he and others with similar backgrounds want to help young people to cope with and change their lives.

“Living a lifestyle of darkness and bondage, enslaved in substance abuse, I heard a message of hope and power that completely transformed and changed my life. I received a second chance. Second Chance is the perfect platform for many such testimonies to be shared with the learners in South Africa,” says Du Preez.

Du Preez will visit Westenburg Secondary School today.
