MOKOPANE – “The Mogalakwena Municipality has launched an appeal at the Supreme Court of Appeal against the recent ruling made by the North Gauteng High Court, to reinstate me as municipal manager. I believe they are playing for time.”
These are the words of William (Willy) Kekana who was expelled as municipal manager in 2015.
The North Gauteng High Court ruled in favour of the reinstatement of Kekana for the second time earlier this month, but on Monday 11 July security guards barred him from entering the municipal premises.
“I am now waiting to hear from the Supreme Court of Appeal,” Kekana said on Tuesday.
The Mogalakwena Municipality could not be reached for comment.
