Lim Hawks visit school of blind for their 67 minutes

The Limpopo special investigation team, the Hawks celebrated their 67 minutes for Mandela Day at the Rivoni School for the Blind in Elim outside Polokwane on Monday 18 July.

POLOKWANE – During the day police officials interactacted with the learners and gained insight to what challenges the learners face on a daily basis.

The event started with 5km walk from the school ground and back.

Gen.Thoka Jozi, the Provincial Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Dpci) gave the keynote address at the school where he encouraged learners to be the best they can be and not be held back by the challenges they face.

Limpopo Hawks Spokesperson Capt. Matimba Maluleke said that the day gave police officials the chance to learn something from the learners and a chance to educate them on the work that the Hawks do, all in the spirit of celebrating the former president Nelson Mandela and the beliefs he stood for.
