Help to raise money for Cansa Polokwane

The Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) has several initiatives that not only seek to raise money for the organisation, but raise awareness on the illness

POLOKWANE – One of these fundraising initiatives is the Cuppa for Cancer, where residents can donate money in cans that are placed in businesses in the city.

Cansa also hosts Cuppa for Cancer events, which usually take place between June and October and can be in the form of a tea party, braai, formal dinner or a dance.

This year, the Cansa Polokwane team has placed the Cuppa for Cancer cans at various businesses in the city to see who can raise the most money.

René Robberts, Community Mobiliser at Cansa Polokwane, has also placed cans in various hairdressing salons in the city.

“I would just like to thank everyone for their participation in this project. I really appreciate it,” says René.

The participating salons include:

Hussain’s Hair Salon, Salon Leonie, Doccys Hair Studio, Deo Volente Hair And Beauty, Majestic Works Hair Studio, New Beginnings, Salon Susan, Sterpark Salon, Artistic Waves, Universal Hair Studio, Christa Schoeman, Lize van Eck, Streakz A Head, Hair @ M&M, La Vie Beauty Salon and Cleo’s Hair Salon.
