POLOKWANE – The body of a woman was found in a shack in Greenside on Tuesday evening.
Westenburg police spokesperson, Const Maphure Manamela, said the woman was stabbed to death.
“The police were called to the shack after an argument broke out between a man and a woman. The woman was found with multiple stab wounds on her neck,” said Manamela.
Manamela said the man handed himself over to the Westenburg police, and a case of murder was opened.
“It is suspected the man was the woman’s boyfriend, and we do not know if anyone else lived in the shack with them,” she said.
The man will appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court later this week, and police investigations continue, she added.
