‘Witchcraft’ murder: suspects await bail hearing

Two suspects who were arrested for the murder of a woman (82) in Hlanganani outside Giyani over the weekend remain in custody, say the police.

LIMPOPO – Isando Rivimbi (29) and Kulani Bvuma (31) appeared before the Tiyani Magistrate court on the charge of murder. The case has been postponed to 25 July for a formal bail application says provincial police spokesperson, Moatshe Ngoepe.

The deceased was strangled to death in Rotterdam village. “The motive behind the murder is believed to be witchcraft said Ngoepe in an earlier article.

The third suspect was caught by members of the community  after they mobilised a search party.

“They caught him and dragged him to the local cemetery and burnt him to death.”

The are still no arrests in the case of murder opened against the group of community members says Ngoepe.

Investigations are still continuing.
