POLOKWANE- The suspect was arrested after the department received a tip off about an illegal abortion clinic being run in the CBD. Derrick Kganyago, the Department of Health’s Spokesperson confirmed the arrest. “We received a tip off from a woman who was working undercover and we went there with the police.” The woman pointed out the man and he was arrested on the spot he added.
He currently faces charges of contravention of both Termination of Pregnancy and Health Acts.
“We are happy that he was arrested and this will send a strong message to those running similar clinics that we will find and arrest them to,” Kganyago continued.
The case was postponed to the 8th July.
