POLOKWANE – Three teams, Prima Panelbeaters, McGuyver Autobody and Bradbury’s Panelbeaters, each had the chance to impress the judges by preparing a mouthwatering main course and a dessert on the braai coals.

Team Bradbury’s Panelbeaters menu:
Starter:
Herb roasted bone marrow served with homemade ‘potbrood’ on the coals
Main course:
Bacon wrapped ostrich fillet with fraiche filling and garlic mushroom sauce served with potato and leek mash
Bacon wrapped asparagus, cream spinach and pumpkin fritters.
Dessert:
Paalova prepared on the coals with a marshmellow centre filled with fresh whipped cream and strawberries, maraschino cherries and peaches.
The competition, which sees three teams of two prepare a main meal as well as a dessert on the fire with no pre-preparation, will culminate in a braai-off on Heritage Day, also known as National Braai Day on 24 September. The winners of the braai-off will be announced on 26 September.
The winner of the 3rd round as well as the teams to compete in the 4th round will be published in the Review Weekend.
