3 die in 3 car collision on N1 South

Three people died after three vehicles collided on the N1 outside of Mokopane on Monday afternoon.

POLOKWANE – According to Kagiso Mootane, Department Spokesperson of Traffic: “The right rear tyre of the bakkie burst, the driver of a one of the sedans swerved out in an attempt to miss the bakkie and collided head-on with the third vehicle.”

The driver and two passengers of the one of the sedans passed away on the scene and the driver and two passengers of the third vehicle were rushed to a Polokwane hospital after sustaining serious injuries. The bakkie had minor damage, the driver and passengers were not hurt.

Investigations are ongoing.
