Cosatu expected to march over ‘racist attack’

The two men who recently assaulted a petrol attendant in Tzaneen will appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Monday

LIMPOPO – The two men who recently assaulted a petrol attendant in Tzaneen will appear before the Tzaneen Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

COSATU members are expected to engage in picket action outside the court for the duration of the trial, reports the Letaba Herald.

If the picket is well attended, travel on Morgan Street, Peace Street, Stasie Road and Danie Joubert Street is likely to be affected by heavy foot traffic.

Please avoid these areas for your own safety.

Furthermore, in the event that COSATU is not satisfied with the outcome of the above trial, protest action may materialise at the court which may lead to protest actions.

Businesses located in the vicinity of the court are advised to remain vigilant for unrest and ensure contingency plans are in place as a precautionary measure.
