With two mottos, ‘Your grief is our concern’, and ‘Serving the community at large’, it is clear that Lebowa Funeral Services has its roots firmly planted in the communities that the company serves with dignity and care.
The company celebrated their 40th anniversary on 1 June at the Seshego Zone 2 funeral parlour where Lebowa Funeral Services first saw the light in 1976.
Stanley Thema and Jackie Tema started the company in 1976 and ran it with much success until William Tema took over the reins in 1996. Today Lebowa Funeral Services have 14 branches in Limpopo and Gauteng and their 15th branch, in Daveyton, will officially opened next week. They employ 250 permanent employees.
Lebowa Funeral Services offers clients funeral, exhumation and reburial services, tombstone and plaque installations and unveilings, catering at funerals and specialised funeral policies. The tombstones and plaques are manufactured in their own factory in Seshego.
George Sethosa, Lebowa Funeral Services Marketing Manager, says they are especially proud of the Healthy Lifestyle Campaign that they have launched.
“We want people to know that we care about every aspect of their lives, not only when somebody dies. We host workout sessions at different malls at different occasions where the community can come and work out and get health advice free of charge,” he explains.
