Netcare Pholoso Hospital officially opened

The Netcare Pholoso Hospital, bordered by Grobler and Mahem Streets as well as Du Preez and Eland Avenues in Fauna Park, held their official opening ceremony on Thursday.

POLOKWANE – The hospital was officially opened on Thursday evening with special guests including the Premier, Stan Mathabatha, the Executive Mayor, Thembi Nkadimeng, the MEC for Health in Limpopo, Dr Phophi Ramatuba as well as the founder and director of the Pholoso Hospital Group, Godfrey Phakoago and the CEO of Netcare, Richard Friedland.

After the Premier had the honour of cutting the ribbon and officially opened the hospital he congratulated everyone involved on their never give up attitude. “It is due to your perseverance and dedication that this project is a successful one,” he said. He also noted the importance of the hospital in the community. “This hospital has brought with it many specialised facilities which means people will no longer have to travel far away to receive treatment and we must be proud of that,” he said. The Premier also noted that the opening of the hospital has brought many spin offs to the province and it has made a dent in unemployment statistics in Limpopo. “This facility has made a huge contribution to the economic climb in the province and we welcome this hospital as an addition to the health care system in Limpopo,” he said. Mathabatha finished off by wishing the hospital growth and success in the future.
