POLOKWANE – The Polokwane police are hot on the tracks of the suspect who shot a female Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) member at a taxi rank in Rissik Street yesterday (Tuesday).
This after the Commander in Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema took to Twitter yesterday to name the man who shot Elizabeth Tjatji.
Capt Ntobeng Phala, a Polokwane police spokesperson, said the suspect is known to the police and an arrest will follow soon.
“We will release his identity once he has been arrested and appeared in court,” Phala said.
He added that the police cannot comment on statements made by Malema regarding the shooting incident.
